TIPS for making THEATER RÉSUMÉS

  • Résumés highlighting your theater work are different from your typical business résumé.

  • All credits should be listed in REVERSE CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER - the most recent roles/work should be listed at the top and then work backwards.  Think of it this way: If someone is going to skim your résumé, you want that person to know about your most recent work FIRST.  â€‹â€‹â€‹

  • Check out THIS GUIDE created by CSU Bakersfield. It provides examples for anyone creating a theater résumé for the first time. It includes examples for actors, designers, directors, and a general résumé for someone with a variety of experience.
